Technical Manager

DESKRIPSI PEKERJAAN

Technical Manager (TM) reports to the Head of Technical Department (HTD) and is responsible to ensure that all vessels are well maintained as well as to support technical staff in solving technical issues.

REQUIREMENTS

• Min. Marine Engineer Class II or Degree in Engineering (Marine) or Ship Building.
• Min. experiences 5 years as Technical Manager at shipping or shipyard Company, with great knowledge on types, technical and mechanical matters of offshore vessel.
• Fluent in English
• Good ability and experience in managing multiple tasks and with many groups of people.
• Willing to travel through to all vessel operated area.
• DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
• Assisted by TS to ensure Planned Maintenance System (PMS) has covered all vessel parts need to be maintained and is implemented accordingly.
• Review the Classification Society’s survey report and arrange docking accordingly.
• Together with Technical Superintendent (TS) and respective Technical Maintenance Engineer (TMS), manage all docking work including calculating budgets, obtaining repair lists, compiling the lists and obtaining quotations from a few yards for comparison, cost estimations, monitoring work progress, final negotiations and final review after docking.
• Ensure the docking expenses budget is prepared and approved by HTD before execution.
• Review all proposed changes related to Technical Department.
• Review the existing procedures related to Technical Department at least once a year, and take necessary corrective actions.
• Present measurement and analysis for Technical Department based on compiled data.
• Present measurement and analysis of docking time based on compiled data.
• Responsible for the orientation and development of employee under command.
• Responsible to identify and comply with the latest applicable guidelines, codes, regulations and standards related to Technical Department.
