Information Technology & Systems Developer (EPM Developer-Hyperion)
1. Job Title: EPM Developer / Analyst
2.The ROLE
The EPM Analyst/Developer will be responsible for Enhancements and maintainence activities for our Hyperion application Suite.3. Major Job Functions:
a) Functional Responsibilities
- Must have experience in working on High-Availability and Load-Balanced EPM Infrastructure environments.- Must have excellent understanding of PSU’s and CPU’s patches in relation to the Hyperion and OBIEE Products.
- Should possess analytical and implementation/development experience on Oracle EPM Hyperion Product suite, including Essbase, Planning, FDMEE, Financial reports, Hyperion Financial Management, Essbase Studio, Oracle Data Integrator, DAC.
- Ability to design and troubleshoot Oracle database queries and logic involved with business intelligence applications.
- Good understanding of diversed source systems and relational databases in EPM and BI space
- Nice to have experience on applying the patches on Hyperion EPM Version 11.1.2.4 but essential to have experience on Hyperion EPM Version 11.1.2.X
- Experience handling the windows and Unix batch scripting.
- Analyse ETL process and ability to identify areas for performance improvements and automation
- Expected to lead process improvement initiatives.
- Expected to assist and mentor less experienced team members.
- Expected to support and streamline daily Batch Jobs/scheduled jobs and automate the same.
- Expected to identify potential process improvement areas and suggest options and recommend approaches.

b) Internal Relationship Management
• Interact daily with end users and managers in all global regions.• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with EITS/GCSS colleagues.
c) External Relationship Management
• Liaise with third party software/support suppliers such as Oracle, Dell.d) Application of Processes, Controls, Standards and Measures
• Maintain Experian Service Management documentation and change standards, following the prescribed software development life cycle.• Provide service meeting Service Level Agreements for incident, problem, and change management.
• Adhere to information security and audit requirements.
• Work to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of systems.
4. Required Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably IT-related. ITIL foundation.Skills:
• Analytical and problem-solving skills• Advanced Windows Server Environment Knowledge
• Advaced SQL query and scripting knowledge
• Visual Basic programming (nice to have, currently only used in 1 process)
• ASP.NET development (nice to have)
• Jython programming (nice to have, used in FDMEE)
• Excellent working Windows & Linux server knowledge
• Windows scripting (DOS Batch, Windows Powershell)
• Strong PC skills (including Microsoft Office applications)
• Team player with abilities to work in complex cross-functional and geographically diverse teams
• Self-starter able to work proactively and with minimal supervision
• Advanced knowledge of software development and ability to lead a project
• Advanced knowledge of multiple department applications, subsystems, and functions

Experience:
• Experience with applying maintenance releases and patches within Oracle EPM Hyperion Product suite, including Essbase, Planning, FDMEE, Financial reports, Hyperion Financial Management and Essbase studio.• Experience on applying the patches Hyperion EPM Version 11.1.2.X
• Must have experience in working on High-Availability and Load-Balanced EPM Infrastructure environments.
• Experience providing customer support
• Excellent Understanding of PSU’s and CPU’s patches in relation to the Hyperion and OBIEE Products.
• Excellent understanding and experience supporting ETL tools (ODI and Informatica) and design exposure would be a plus
