Technical Lead (Java EE)

DESKRIPSI PEKERJAAN

Responsibilities:

• Participate in requirement, design, implementation, testing and support of custom banking solutions, which include features enhancements, new functionalities, and back-end systems integration.
• Define and manage resource plan together with the Project Manager aligning to the project schedule.
• Plan and drive the project’s technical execution to achieve the committed scope and timeline.
• Monitor and report technical execution progress as well as all technical issues, risk or mitigation plan in a timely manner.
• Ability to co-ordinate multi-teams (e.g. customers, internal functional and technical SMEs), to understand business requirements, technical design and preparing of technical specifications.
• Assist in estimation of efforts and timescales for tasks delegated to the team.
• Contribute to design/code reviews for quality assurance and conformance to Hitachi eBworx standards / guidelines.
• Hands-on participate in development and bugs fixing.
• Commit to continuous improvement and refinement of Hitachi eBworx methodology and delivery.
• Strong technical knowledge and skills, consistently provide technical guidance and develop team members.
• Responsible for forward resource management, team building and staff career growth.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Computer Sciences / Software Engineering / Information Technology.
• At least 5 years of working experience in Java EE development in large scale enterprise project with at least 2 year working experience as a Technical / Team Lead.
• Strong Java programming skills, well verse with programming best practices, and familiar with design documentation standards such as Unified Modeling Language (UML), design patterns and anti-patterns.
• Hands on experiences in various Java EE frameworks such as Struts 2, Log4j, JSON, AXIOM.
• Involved in implementing applications leverages on various Java EE services including but not limited to Enterprise Java Bean, Java Database Connectivity, and Java Messaging Services.
• Experience in Oracle WebLogic / Oracle Database Server with SQL/PL-SQL programming.
• Hands on experiences and familiar with HTML, JSP, Tags, Javascripts.
• Good verbal and written communication in English, technical, analytical, troubleshooting and consultative skills. Proficiency in National Language will be an added advantage.
• Ability to cope with tight deadlines and adhere to the delivery plan.
• Ability and willingness to travel within the region.

Principal Technical Architect

Role Purpose

This main responsibility is to provide leadership and drive software architecture within a product to ensure solution is capable of meeting present and future market expectation while adhere to the current and future technology best practices. Align solution to cater for future scalability, performance and ease of maintenance / change to the solution.
 

Responsibilities:

• As a Principal Technical Architect within the product engineering group.
• Accountable to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.
• Managing technology risks, communicate and discuss action items to mitigate the risks to all internal stakeholders.
• Responsible for architecture and design review and governance to ensure the implementation adhere to best practices and mitigate potential issues in relation to performance and scalability.
• Engage various parties and stakeholder within the organisation for solution discussion and reviews on both technology architecture and non-functional requirements.
• Own and review technical architecture, from a solution and product perspective by analysing current technology strategies to ensure a robust technical architecture of solution and product.
• Keep track and share technical architecture decisions by documenting it for record to ensure analysis and impacts of architecture decisions are traceable – create awareness by documenting, sharing and managing relevant knowledge in the form of guides, checklists and articles to enable knowledge acquisition, retention and conformance of best practices.
• Coordinating with the overall product owner and stakeholders in the prioritisation and detail of deliveries while at the same time collaborating with other product stakeholders for consistent and focus implementation.
• Co-manages a development team for end-to-end full product implementation.
• The Product Engineering group designs and develops our Next Generation software.

Requirements:

• At least a 2nd Upper degree or its equivalent qualification from any recognised institution of higher education.
• A recognized university degree or equivalent in any field of studies.
• At least 5 years of working experience in Java EE development and Oracle database in large scale enterprise project with at least 2 year working experience as a Senior Technical Architect.
• Possesses relevant experience in product development.
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of software development lifecycle project management experience in customer facing environment.
• Proficient technical / framework knowledge to provide sound advice on solution architecture of the product.  Competency in analytical problem solving.
• Experience in the banking and insurance industry is a merit.
• Formal training or certification on project execution and management (i.e. Agile) is a merit
• Proficient people management skills.
• Good verbal and written communication in English, technical, analytical, troubleshooting and consultative skills.

Senior Application Engineer (Java EE)

DESKRIPSI PEKERJAAN

• Participate in requirement, design, implementation, testing and support of custom banking solutions, which include features enhancements, new functionalities, and back-end systems integration.
• Collaboration with customers to prepare technical specifications.
• Interact with subject matter experts (functional & technical) to understand business requirements and technology architecture of the applications accordingly.
• Contribute to code reviews for quality assurance and conformance to standards / guidelines.
• Provide technical guidance and lead/develop team members.
• Assist in infrastructure & system software setup for development and testing environments.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks delegated.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Computer Sciences / Software Engineering / Information Technology.
• At least 3 years of working experience in Java EE development (preferably in financial industry).
• Individual that is optimistic, proactive, good initiative, passionate, strives to achieve more as a team, and able to motivate others.
• Understand design documentation standards such as Unified Modeling Language.
• Experience in various Java EE frameworks and design patterns.
• Exposure in Java EE MVC frameworks such as Apache Struts / Apache Struts 2.
• Involved in implementing applications leverages on various Java EE services including but not limited to Enterprise Java Bean, Java Database Connectivity, and Java Messaging Services.
• Experience in IBM WebSphere Application Server / Oracle WebLogic / Oracle Database Server with SQL/PL-SQL programming.
• Good verbal and written communication in English, technical, analytical, troubleshooting and consultative skills. Proficiency in National Language will be an added advantage.
• Ability to cope with tight deadlines and adhere to the delivery plan.
• Ability and willingness to travel within the region
