Operations Manager


Superior Energy Services (Australia) have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Operations Manager to join our operation in Sale.   The purpose of this position, which reports to the General Manager, is to –
Provide management of the day to day operations of Hydraulic Workover (HWO) & Snubbing functions.
Oversee technical needs of customers through product/service knowledge and geographic understanding of challenges
Provide suitable safe and cost effective solutions

Essential Responsibilities include –

Prioritising project objectives by assessing the structure for efficiency, cost savings, energy conservation, operator convenience, safety, environmental quality; estimating relevance, time, and costs.
Technical review of contract proposals and specifications for client contracts/subcontracts; identify, evaluate, and advise on potential project problems/risks.
Ensuring that projects are performed in a consistent manner in compliance with all HSE, Operations, Maintenance policies, and industry best practices
Ensuring that projects are performed in compliance with Government regulations, customer requirements, and generally accepted work standards (API, DNV, etc.)
Supporting the General Manager by assisting in oversight of design and communication of operational project plans; monitor progress and performance against project plans; consult with Project Personnel to resolve any operational problems and minimise delays

Education & Experience required –

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business OR 10+ years' experience in HWO & Snubbing Industry.  Must possess thorough understanding of HWO & Snubbing well intervention techniques, technology and broad understanding of associated tools. Must demonstrate leadership and people management qualities.

Technical Skills required –

Knowledge of API standards
IADC or IWCF Well Control
Risk Management/Risk Assessment
Incident Investigation
Knowledge of current practices and technology used in the Oil & Gas industry
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
